Vedanta Biosciences announced that it secured $60 million in new funding to support development of VE303, its investigational microbiome-based therapy for the prevention of recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI). The financing includes a $40 million investment round led by existing investors, including the AMR Action Fund and BNP Paribas Asset Management Alts, as well as an additional $20 million from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).

VE303 is being developed to help reduce the risk of recurrent CDI, a serious and often difficult-to-treat infection.
