Ahead of the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Meeting on AMR, AMR Action Fund CEO Henry Skinner, PhD, spoke with Forbes about the commercial challenges antimicrobial developers face and the need for policy reforms to ensure sustained investment.
Skinner applauded the recent adoption of the UK’s antimicrobial subscription model and said that if similar models are adopted across the G7 and EU, then there could be an “aggregate amount of return for a new, useful antibiotic, and that would spur investment in the space, and the private sector would take risks.”
